  • snooks is the one....he's playin BLIND with no pick on a approx. $300 Squier telecaster (MADE IN CHINA)!and plays it better than a person with perfect vision on a $1200 AMERICAN made guitar...He really is a LEGEND an "Unsung hero" if you will! He doesn't have the recognition he deserves. Its a shame to think it but he probably will not get the recognition he deserves until he's not here to see it :( He is a New Orleans original...

    Thanks for posting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @shane7181980 If you give him a broom stick or a $5 guitar Snooks will

make it swing. It's all in his feeling...and what a beautiful voice.

Long live his memory.I hope that the new generations will hear of him.

Snooks deserves lot of recognition for his work!!!!

  • yeah!.....right on snooks

  • I was looking for some videos of George Porter Jr and I found this. I never heard about this guy before, shame on me. The guy is a brilliant guitar player and an amazing singer, what a voice. He's guitar playing is perfect and fits in a trio format without the need of any other instruments. I say again, shame on me for be missing this guy, he is a legend!

  • its not what you have but what you can do with it.

  • Snooks rule...what to say ... a killer player and singer.

I wish I had a luck to hear and see him playing. Those people who were at the performance were really lucky to see one of the greatest New Orleans players.

Snooks...man, I hope youre in heaven playing with Jimi,Jerry and Moddy.

Little Walter would be a good addition ...

  • So effortless!!! And that right hand-- I use a pick (for the most part), and it amazes me how he interpolates those clean, beautiful blues riffs into his fingertip strumming. Love him.

  • Now, thats what i call DE BLUES!!!!!!!
