Here's a review of Arrow Video's Inferno Blu-Ray, latest homage to the Italian Maestro of the Macabre Dario Argento. This is a beautiful Blu-Ray edition of the classic sequel to 1977's Suspiria in many ways.
Inferno always did look great but past VHS and DVD editions didn't do it justice. This, however, accentuates the bold colour palettes and lush photography and presents the film in its finest release ever in my opinion and oh... it's also uncut!
The sound is as good as it will ever be but bear in mind it was originally released in 2.0 stereo so I personally find that films with this original audio sound strange through 5.1 surround but if you have a good system it will sound fine.
The packaging is excellent as you get 4 different cover artwork sleeves to choose from plus a double sided poster. You also get a booklet and lobby cards which look great! I'll list all the special feature specs below but make sure to check out the feature on Luigi Cozzi's unofficial sequel The Black Cat it's hilarious.
This is a great package and for the price it's a bargain, I almost feel overwhelmed with everything you get in this so well done Arrow. I give it a 5/5 for the film and the Blu-Ray edition and I recommend this as a must have for any horror fan!
