no macedonia was a nation in ancient times, a border, a capital and a monarchy. not the city state that u would have us believe.

the terms ancient greece, greece and the "greek world" were invented by british scholars were invented by british scholars in the mid 18th century as a convenience ask any historian.

It was the same time that they gave most of the near and middle east "greek" names just look and see the persian capital Persepolis, real name PARSA. only appears on english language maps.
