the stick-chewing is a sign of someone trying to give up smoking - more than likely a nervous habit (and safe replacement) of having something other than a ciggie in their hand/mouth. Looks like he's moved up from the nicotine "fake" cigarette he's been seen with numerous times, as is now onto toothpicks - big thumbs up to him for coming this far on such a hard road!
