Aral Sea - Kazakhstan

Yea its always the same, the rich stamping on the poor for personal gain. This goes on in China too. They flood lands where generations of people have lived and they dont give a shit how they feel about it. Its always poor communities who bare the brunt of mans greed..

She claimed at 3:10 that the Soviet Auth.. were draining the Aral sea. They didnt drain it they diverted the Rivers feeding it, diverting it through the Desert to enable irrigation for the plantation of Cotton AKA white Gold. There is scientific evidence suggesting that serious climatic changes have taken place as a result. I believe that Russia is going to pay a heavy price for this disgraceful pratice. They destroyed whole communities with total disregard for them and their livelihoods.

Great, these outlooks really give hope for the Aral Sea, the environment and the people living there! Hopefully the project of building dams will be continued apart from economical viewpoints. I hope it for the Kazakhs and the world.
