Thanks it worked. I got the 2 red rings about 6 months after I replaced the x-clamps cause my fans just crapped out (had xbox for 3.5 years) but now its kicking again. Had to modify a little bit to make compatible with my Blaster CK3 but its all good now. Also its very important to wrap the exposed wire with electrical tape because if it is carrying a current and touches certain spots on the motherboard it can fuck you for good :) Great tutorial though.

it runs on 12 V even when plugged into the fan connector. it cuts the amps. if u run a something with incorrect voltage it will fry. they did this on purpose due to the poor placement of the heat sinks and rushed release date. the abstract shape of the white fan shroud is what makes it so loud.

So why not just add a small variable fan with heat sensor to the side of the tall gpu using the cd player's power source. You would be able to run the fans at lower speeds and they would not be so loud....because what you have now is very loud..great work though.

another useful tip is to take off the metal lining from the top half of the case- as metal conducts heat.. and hence heats up the inside of the xbox...

also with this mod... although its a good mod how can you use it when ITS SO DAMN LOUD LOL
