I saw them live when I was a kid, during their first incarnation, and while Kiss but on a seriously fun show, even as a Kid I could see Ace was the only real musician out of the bunch. Even while obviously buzzed, he ripped off some great leads.
From 1st listen this was one of my all-time favorite songs of any band, of any era or genre. The quiet, slow start, the gradual build, finishing with the huge, densely textured climax & finally full circle w/the quiet slow finish. Brilliant! Peace!

ACE your great but you got to get it together man. I know it is hard but you are still a part of KISS so Be a part of KISS. Money no Money Gene or no Gene. Do it for the fans. I don't mean stop what your doing but I do mean at any given time you would without notice walk on stage and do a duel guiitar solo with Tommy or maybe you and Tommy could do Shock Me and take turns on the Vocals. Your fans would eat that up. That way you could still do ACE stuff and also KISS stuff.

This is amazing. Reminds me of '78. This was the first Kiss Solo Record I bought. Then Pauls. I remember buying Genes at Music Plus in San Gabriel, I asked the guy to play the first song from Genes album, I was sooo embarrassed. lol
Ace, you will always be the best!!

Just stumbled across this...very cool. One of my favorite tunes. Watching it is almost like being the room. Anomaly is great...my kids have been singing Fox on the Run all summer (me too).

Wish I was there...just sitting back and watching you play this... So good.

brings me back to 7th grade. an awful time when my parents divorced and my mom drove me from chicago to california to live with her mom. she got a bedroom. i got a couch.
that was a lonely time in my life and i was scared of a lot of stuff because my dad was abusive & i had lots of insecurity issues that other kids could obviously see. i moved back to be with my dad a few months later because i couldn't handle the violent school i went to. the Ace solo CD & KISS helped me thru those days.
