Aoi Hana: Sweet Blue Flowers will be released as a complete series DVD set in 2013, via Lucky Penny Entertainment.

Based on the manga by Takako Shimura (Wandering Son), this character-driven, coming-of-age drama features direction by Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover) and animation by J.C. Staff (Revolutionary Girl Utena, Nodame Cantabile).

this really is an underrated series especially in the shoujo ai genre... this has a more realistic pure love direction to it

It's not getting a second season BECAUSE the DVD sales weren't good. In Japan. It all depends on what happens there. We in the US have almost no effect.
