So I decided to do something special for my fifth 'This is Goa' installment. What we've got here is a true classic in the genre of Goa trance: 'Spiritual Healing' by The Muses Rapt. This is and always will be one of my favorite tracks for several reasons. One, it sounds great. It shows how Goa is not limited to one sound. Two, there is an interesting story behind this track.

Next stage that made a great change in his life was when he discovered that he had a cancer and he should go through intensive course of chemotherapy. During this time Juan found for himself peace and relief in trance music. After one of the treatment sessions Juan arrived to his studio and under the influence of inspiration that came to him he wrote his famous track "Spiritual Healing". After this single was released Juan started to recover and is in better health these days.

So there's a neat little fact for ya. The final reason as to why this track is one of my favorites is because it has most definitely kept the Goa/Psy scene on its toes. It has influenced many and will go down in history as one of the greatest Goa tracks of all time.

I think I'll do something like this every 5 videos. So keep a look out. ;)

What does it matter what genre you listen to, comparable or totally different to trance? I listen to hiphop, metal, trance, and some pop. It's about knowing when to appreciate unique music composed by skillful artists, whether its in your taste or not.

i respect goa trance cause it's the first non european style of trance, the first psychedelic and acid style of trance and cause it gave influences to its israeli derivative forms - the scary psytrance and the melodic nitzhonot/victorious trance.
