Sweet performance! It is a very simple instrument with great sound. Had a chance to try it for the first time yesterday.

Yes, we "invetnted" it in sweden also, trad folkinstrument here too - from willows bark, cuta branch, dose it in water, strip the bark by pulling out the wood, leaving a tube of bark and fashioning the mouthend whistle piece of the wood.

sounds good, mahalo for sharing.....do you tune this in g by simply getting an open g note on the flute, to match a g note on a digital guitar tuner???...pardon if this sounds like a stupid question, just slowly learning....aloha, forest

yes, the lowest note with an open end hole is my fundamental pitch and everything else starts from there :)
Re: electronic tuner, it might be necessary to try few different blow levels to find concert pitch G but this instrument is generally well tuned and finding right G is no problem :)
