What if you feel like playing fast? :P

hey nobody start bringing paul gilbert into this, it's as you said "just a different style" but i think rusty has more of this "emotion" stuff in his playing thank most guitarists out there, the only people that disagree probably just don't like the style so they have to find something to pick out and make a big deal over. that or they're just jealous.

In moast cases, people who say that feeling is ewerything do not know how to play guitar!I mean, first learn to play and than talk what you want about feeling the song and all....first you need to know how play to feel emotion...am I right,or not?

Reading some rusty Cooley interviews? ;)
I agree to some point..
But dynamics (between fast and slow) is what makes a good guitar player, the only way you can tell if someone puts feeling into a song is the way it feels.

Nice one man your right in a couple of ways!!!
Speed is a privilege you can use it whenever you want in music...!!! tough it's bad when you play fast all the time like Malmsteen did...
so juankavamo89 i agree with you

people say feeling and emotion is the space between notes.. welll guess what.. rustys solos with 20 notes per second have WAY more feeling then lets say, gilbert? its just a different style. people that shred have emotion. no normal person could come up with half the face melting solos that rusty comes up with. so cut the shit with the feeling talk.
so playing fast is not feeling ? only bend and vibrato is ? u sure of that ?

Nono thats what i was trying to get across!
Many guitarplayers think that there are only one type of feeling in guitarplaying that you can only achieve by playing slow..
We have so many types of feelings that its just stupid to say that you cant play fast like Rusty does (Rusty is my biggest influence btw.) and play with feeling at the same time.
Its all about the feeling you are trying to give to the audience..
I think that playing with Feeling is totally relative...
