@VivianRinSC Either that or borrow some goats you don't like lol, or give a soapy shower after. I'm not so sure they are immune to the stuff, some dude on the news made a comment that they were, but I wouldn't trust it without research.

What's growing with the sheep? Oh God fire ants! =S

@ironhead41 We were hoping the goats would help with the "mowing" but they're spoiled already. lol. So far no ticks but that could be the work of the chicks.

Do your roosters eat the fireants? We have fireants here, too. Awful things.

@KasinH The hens will tear up a fire ant mound but they're not much good for just ants crawling about or it the mounds aren't obvious. As for the roosters, I sure hope so! lol. They peck at anything they notice moving.

If you could teach the goats to eat fire ants you'd have it wooped! I saw something that said they love poison ivy, but I wouldn't bank on that without good verification. That made me say hummmmmm!

@omegahpla The chickens love the ants!
Fortunately no poison oak in the back of our property. Neighbors just fenced between our yards so we can start letting the goats in other areas once we set up some temporary barriers. :) Hopefully, I got all the poison oak pulled out but if I didn't, we'll find out if goats like it. :)

@VivianRinSC Just remember, if you ever do that, don't go hugging on the goats after because you'll get it for sure. I don't know if you hug your goats, but I figured to point that out just in case : )

@omegahpla Marti, our dairy goat, is really spoiled and even this morning, I rubbed her down and yes, even hugged her. So it would be better if I destroy any poison oak we have. lol.
