The Capital City Rescue Mission is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-denominational, charitable organization. The Mission is dedicated to proclaiming the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ to the homeless and needy of the capital region, providing for the whole person-body, mind and spirit - that they will return to society maturing in Christ as productive citizens.
The very poor of the Capital District are served. Men, women and children who are homeless or living in poverty in the community come to the Mission for food, clothing and shelter. Some people walk into the Mission from living on the street, others are referred by Traveler's Aid, social service agencies, pastors, law enforcement personnel, friends or relatives.
