Seven.

Throughout the credits, master chief finds a way to escape the autumn, and thus this begins a story that we will all remember for the rest of our lives.

@WolfGameWalkthroughs Lol what that guys says isn't truth :) it seems he was never really part of the community of Bungie/Halo :)
Bungie Day: which occurs on July 7th, is a holiday created by Bungie Studios to celebrate their long standing infatuation with the number seven. The date, when shortened, is 7/7. Bungie Day was originally meant to happen on dates where the month, day, and year are all composed of ones and sevens, but has since opted to celebrate it every July 7th

@Seraphim227 Oh, well that makes a lot more sense!

It means that they are going to make up to Halo 7. It also means they are keeping master chief, aka spartan 117
alive for it.

If your a longtime fan of Halo and a loyal member of Bungie's community, then you just can't help but smile when you see that 7 flash at the end. :)
