Oh boy! Adding mica pigments to translucent polymer clay offers up a magical, fantasy effect for your hand made cabochons! Had to throw in some glitter. Everything's better with glitter, right? Lovely and so easy.

Kudos to Sara for discovering a better (much much better) way to make putty cabochon molds.

Sara's awesome putty mold trick:

Sara's wonderful beading channel in English!:

And her crazy popular Italian beading channel:

I hope you enjoy this very talented, and truely lovely young woman as much as I do.

Not sure if they ship overseas, but the stuff is sold all over the world by different distributors and manufacturers. Try it!

Bead the world! :)

  • I get mine from a shop named primark or pound shops in the uk. I'll put some pics up of the eyeshadow and the clay i coloured.

  • @Lazybabyz Cool!

  • Ive used eyeshawdow on polymer clay. It works great and its cheaper than buying mica powder.

  • @Lazybabyz Really? I want to buy shadows where you do! Each little bag of mica I bought for 1.50 would fill several shadow tins.

  • You know if you use a dry paintbrush to apply your mica, you will have much better control over how much you put into your clay.

  • wow this is a very good idea! I love my mica powders for my make up. I just never thought to put it with my clay. haha. Well thank you very much for the video. You seem like a very nice person btw!

  • @AlexJensen If you're in the continuous U.S., 5.00 with shipping. Yes, I have an Etsy shop that's terribly neglected, but I can still use it.

  • @tsummerlee How much would it be? Unless you have an etsy shop?

  • @AlexJensen lol, I made one that's a huge circle (huge to me, anyway!) I never measured, but its around 2" across. I could make you one, if you'd like, or find something even larger to mold from.
