Too bad broadcast TV is garbage.

What a phenomenal heavy lift. Great flying, most people have NO idea how difficult this is. Perfect install.

Rapcity401 I turn towers down, and off every day! Turned boas and orator public off today, and turned kx and kvly in Blanchard n.d. off last week! Do you want to work in 700,000 plus watts?

Bbaker904 is retarded, you forgot a zero! The last rolling wave I hung was 78 ft tall and weighed 12,900 lbs, and that was off of a 126 ft 14,600 lb track pole! Id like to see a fat trucker do my job!

Broadcast TV will be around long after satellite TV stops becoming in vogue.

10 bucks if you stand right underneath it for 60 seconds and close your eyes...
Watching the video closely, it seems that a mere 7 minutes seems to go for a long time... Such an important job is actually done relatively quickly in the bigger scheme of things. But seeing it happen right there seems to take ages, almost like I share the intense concentration and nerves of the pilot (but obviously i'm not as skilled as he is)
how tall is that tower?

@jarettrobak The tower in Farmington is 1100 ft. Both transmitters for WTIC and WCCT are now in Farmington.

Since we had been simulcasting on both analog and digital we did not do anything different. We did move the plaque dedicating the station to Ella Grasso from our old station to the new facility.
