Since my previous graffiti video, I've been debating with the local teenagers about some of things they would like to see in the area.

One of these things is a safe and secure legal graffiti art area. This video shows one possible area behind the Cross Bar. The owner of this area, Posh of the Cross Bar, is happy for this area to be used. Simon Markus of Markus Galleries is happy to work with these teenagers and sell their canvases in his shop next door

  • Two questions:

    1) what's you thoughts on an indoor graffiti art zone at Epic?

    2) why aren't more people using the rear of the Jug of Ale to do graffiti art? I get the feeling that only a select few do art here - is this correct?

  • great for everyone who does graffiti so long as there arent muggers waiting outside. yeh i think the jug are a bit select and dont let begginers or the rubbish work there haha

  • At tonight's Ward Committee we should give the go ahead for £1800 to be spent on a graffiti art zone at Epic Skateboard park. I would be interested to know where the muggers outside Epic Skatebaord park hang out - I'm a great believer that muggers can be designed out of an area. Muggers like dark areas to hang around in and quick escape routes.

Who controls who does what at the rear of the Jug? Is it Amigo, Nors and Obens?

  • never knew this place existed. great if u build a legal site but ur missing the bigger issue that is that we have nowhere to go at night. any lowlife over 18 can have a good night in moseley at any of the many pubs, but try having a good time in moseley if ur under 18

  • Good point. I'm in discussions with the Epic Skateboard park to get regular bands for under 18's. Keith Marsden informs me that under-18's are allowed in up until 11pm. I need to double check with Licensing, if this is correct.

I'm also in discussion with Keith about having an indoor legal graffiti art zone at Epic. However, we need to sort out some form of ventilation.

The big sticking point is if you want to drink alcohol or smoke. That in itself is a whole huge debate.

  • Did this go ahead? Dus it exist now?

  • they should do that in canada

  • stillaint done it 1 year and 8 months later

  • yhyh sick idea

  • At least he tries and is willing to listen to ideas.

  • that would NOT work.

first of all, the wooden boards. you'd have kids fighting over a board, and if you sold them, it'd cost ALOT to replace them all.

third, removing all that shit in that place.

how? bulldozer? goodluck! you cant even get a bulldozer IN there.

without knocking a wall down that is.

and third of all, you couldnt make it available 1 day of the week.

graffiti is about having less restrictions, not "once a day a week." theres more, but i cant fit it on here.

  • Yeh, but you're a moron so who really gives a flying fk what u think?

  • I'll look it up if you learn to spell...

    you ignorant fuck.

  • i think this is a good idea. im a graffiti artist from the u.s. and ive done these kind of legal graffiti spots and theres nothing better then a good spot to showcase my art. you could probably have a day every couple of months where graffiti artist and spectators can meet look at and do art. you could probably make some money of something like that
