Well, the animation is nice, the question is, how accurate it is, what is under the sea floor, are there any fissures, which are not on the picture ? Finally, how the closure will effect further spills at and around the area? We hope for reduced or no-spill operation in the future. Even it is the diversion of the oil up to container vessels. Just keep oil out of water please! We have to trust the experts and the ones with more detailed knowledge of the situation. Good luck!

@MySecretIsland It could also be the beginning of a change with some very difficult times beforehand.
You are, however, correct to point out that it is the end for a lot of people whose lives depend on the local fish habitat for their liveliehoods.
As bad as it will get, there are ways to change the system to bring about a more positive way of life than what caused this problem.

They're still trying to plug it? The Iranians did a great job plugging the offshore oil wells that American terrorists blew up while the US was attacking Iran both directly and indrectly during the Iran-Iraq war of 1980-1988. And the Iranians were in the middle of a devastating defensive war facing every weapon of mass destruction available at that time. Are the British/Americans that stupid?
Either way, what goes around comes around! It's only a shame that the animals have to pay for it.
