YES Scholars' Reception -- 1

30 YES scholars' departure to study in the United States was celebrated at Emmanuelle's Banquet Hall, Dhaka, on 4 August, jointly hosted by Bangladesh Education and Resource Network and the American Center, Dhaka. Executive Director of bEARN, Mr. Golam R. Hiru and distinguished guest Ms. Geeta Pasi, Charge d'Affaires, A.I. Embassy of the United States of America, spoke of the great achievement of these young people, who are to spend a year in the United States as cultural ambassadors. Also present at the occasion were Mr Jonathan Cebra, Director, The American Center, Dhaka; other distinguished guests from the US Embassy and various NGOs in Dhaka and teachers from the participating schools, YES Alumni, parents and American host parents.
