MP90 Bypass Valve Closing and Opening

The X-charger kit for the 2005 4.0L V6 mustang contains an MP90 supercharger. This MP90 has a bypass valve and a bypass valve actuator which is triggered by vacuum in the engine. When open the engine doesn't run under boost, when closed however the supercharger is permitted to force air down the engine. This bypass valve is the secret to the x-charger kit and its ability to have stock like fuel mileage while not under boost. This video demonstrates the bypass valve opening and closing on the supercharger.

awsome vid man, just anouther question. the actualy supercharger is made by Eaton i know that, but does explorer express actualy make any of the other pieces to the X-charger kit, a dumb question i know but i was just wonderin if u knew.... peace..... Rich

The kit is assembled by explorer-express. The 50 state legal CA Spec kit comes with a mustang GT airbox and inlet hose. The Hi Po kit comes with a mass air intake and explorer intake hose. the rest of the kit, (manifold, idler bracket, throttle body tube and all the other cool parts) is made custom for the supercharger and fitting it to your engine.
