  • No Honda has variable valve timing.

  • @PaisaMaldito The system shuts off fuel injection to the 4 cylinders, which are not required and closes the exhaust valves,so the non working cylinders remain like gas springs.Under higher loads, the cylinders exhaust valves are opened and fuel injection to the cylinders is continued.

  • @deving68 does it use it often, or is it one of those things that seldomly actually kicks in? if i'm just cruisin down the highway at normal speeds...say 65 will it do it? thanks

  • What happens is when your just crusin on the blacktop or open road it shuts off 4 of the cylinders to save on gas. But when you need the power again like if you are pulling something going up a hill or just give it alot of gas ect. it turns on the other 4 cylinders to give you all 8 cylinders for power

  • how this works ? i dont get it !!
