We have to clarify this!!! Peruvians don't greet with two kisses, I don't know where she got this from; only the spanish people do agree like that. And if you don't know the person so well you just shake hands.

most people in Peru give only 1 kiss, a very few 2 kisses don't ask. The point is that they (Peruvian) do kiss. By the way the girl is right when she said that the men only kiss women.

@karen10sonia Totally agree with the first part. I am Peruvian and I've never seen people kiss on both cheeks. If we do this is only to pretend we are being posh- she has probably been outside her country too long.

If you don't know someone and you are being introduced to this person for the first time by a friend - it's totally okay to kiss on the cheek. Otherwise, yes, you only shake hands. :)
