A little quiz for everyone on this song!
I've been through my LP collection and put on here all the main artists. All you have to do is identify as many as you can. There are 34 altogether and I've even left names or initials on the pics to make it easier. Most are really easy, but some are not so here are a couple of clues:
1 They are in alphabetical order
2 Remember I like Country and harmony
3 There is only one Brit :(
4 There is one comedy duo
5 It should help if you hit the "Pause" button at each pic.

I'll print a list here in a couple of days --- I don't want anyone's brain to fry!

Cheat sheet follows below........

1 Alabama
2 America
3 Moe Bandy
4 Bobby Bare
5 Beach Boys
6 Johnny Cash
7 the Coasters
8 Country Gazette
9 skeeter Davis
10 Dion and the Belmonts
11 Dr. Hook
12 Evs (of course!)

  • So interested in the quiz, I forgot to say that Phil has never sounded better than on this song. That's a pretty long note at the end....................And I like the lyric; "The love we give is the harmony!"

  • Thanks Loretta, Yeah, holding a note that long is something that needs years of practice!

  • Yeah The "Aces" were just a touch before my time! I only started earning in 1960 and couldn't afford many records before then!!

  • AWESOME!....Keep the Everly videos a comming!

  • Will try Lois!!

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mr. Phil Everly!, b. January 19, 1939 Every time I take this quiz, I get a few more of them right! LOL!

This song featured on my page tomorrow for Phil Everly's birthday!

Thank you so much for this post!

  • Beautiful... I know a little about singing and voice control, and it amazes me that Phil could hold a note so long and his voice stay so steady and pure, nary a bit of a waver. The part that amazes me is he was a smoker and i have heard he smoked quite heavily, andd often, even in the recording studio. ! That would be very difficult for anyone, much less than one with this vice.. He truly has a remarkable talent !!! So glad you gave them up Phil .

  • OMG did you hear that pure note ! heavenly!

  • It was baby boy Phil!! Co-writer was Englishman Terry Slater.

  • Thanks for posting the cheat sheet!!

I wish the "The Four Aces" had been on there too.Their "Written on the Wind" song from the opening sequence of the movie was fabulous. [I believe they did a later version that wasn't as good]

  • Thanks Adele! Believe it or not 1985 is not on my radar for oldies!!!
