They're right about the first half. Don't go to film school. But don't attend this either. Never trust anyone who says "Come to our school, we're realistic". That's just as bad as "Come to our school, we'll fulfill your dreams." No, instead, just make your own films and be content with that. It might lead somewhere, it might not, but contrary to Hollywood's MO, you shouldn't even be thinking about money. You make films to spend money, not make it.

Yeah. That's true. Just read the comments below and it's true, when you're in film school you meet other students. I've been in film school for 2 months now and i already worked on a professional music video. I've been meeting tons of cool people. Maybe this NYVS is ok, i don't know, but you're not going to meet anyone.

Look I AM in film school and heres why. I felt like i was wasting my time at my state university and i felt like college is a scam. I was about to get a job with my friends dad and i would have started out making 25000 a year with a lot of oppurtunity for raises and promotions. BUT i chose film school. I know i could learn ALL of this shit on the internet but i went because its about the people you know not just what you know and this school im at gives me a great chance to meet professionals.
