New Cross Gear media!

Question: What are Cross Gears?

Answer:
Cross Gears (, I'll call "CrG" for short), are a new type of card.
Duel Masters started off with two types of cards in the beginning; Creatures and Spells. CrG's add to this list being the 3rd card type in the game.

"So how do I use 'em?" You're probably thinking. Well it's quite straightforward actually.
To use a CrG you must first "generate" it. This is done by paying the cost of the CrG and placing it in the battle zone.

"Does this mean they can attack?!" No they can't. Remember at all times that CrG's aren't creatures (or spells). For example, Terror Pit will not work on a CrG.

"Ok, so it's in the battle zone, now what?" Well usually the next step is to "cross".
The term "cross" for a CrG means attaching it to a creature. To do this you must pay the cost of the CrG whilst it's in the battle zone and slide it under the desired creature.
Now the fun begins, because when a CrG is crossed to a creature, the creature gains new abilities in addition to it's own.
This is possible because CrG's have effects that can add to a creature after they've been crossed to a selected creature.

"My creature was crossed and got destroyed." If your creature is crossed and is moved from the battle zone the CrG stays.

"I evolved my creature while it was crossed." The CrG remains crossed to the evolution creature.

"How do I "uncross"?" There is no direct way. You must find a way for the creature crossed to leave the battle zone. That will automatically "uncross" the CrG.

That's pretty much all there is to CrG's. To fully understand thier uniqueness, you'd have to play them.

NOTE: CrG's can be charged and used as mana.
CrG's can't attack or block.
To "generate" a CrG at least one of the cards you tap in your mana zone must be of the same civilisation as the CrG.
You can "cross" any number of times during your turn, just remember to pay the cost each time.
You cannot "cross" to opponent's creatures.

  • Hey bladen, thx for the reply. Here i got this problem. Hope u can help!

Lets say i have bolberg cross dragon, and i have 3 bajula's soul. I cross them all. When bolberg attacks, is it break 5 shields and destroy 6 manas?

  • Bajula Soul allows the creature to break an additional shield and destroy any 2 cards in your opponent's mana zone.

    So yes. ;)

  • Haha, yeah. :D

  • Is a cross gear can cross with 2 or more creatures? or a creature can cross to 2 or more cross gears?

  • The latter is correct.

A creature can cross with any number of Cross Gears.

A Cross Gear cannot be crossed to more than one creature.

I suggest you read this videos description if you haven't already.

  • so the cards are coming back again??

yall think there will be a game for the DSi or something??

  • Nothing official has been said about the return of Duel Masters (in countries outside Asia).

Maybe a Duel Masters game will be released for the DS(i).
