A top 10 winner of Fly By Night 2005, which was an annual national "over-the-weekend" video challenge.
Last year I had participated and won so I thought of testing my skills again this year and with a new partner, my fellow colleague, Mr Kenneth Lim.
Since the theme "%^&@#" was a bunch of symbols, the idea behind the video was to produce a faux-educational video about the history and usage of this %^&@#-word.
It was done deliberately like a B-grade video, the kind you find in early 80s TV show era, hence the un-synced voice and visuals in some areas. Kenneth suggested that I should try strip topless so as to emphasis the joke as well as the obscenity of this topic.
The main part of the script was taken from an audio recording I'd gotten off the internet many years ago. But I adapted it and added Hokkien (a mandarin dialect) at the end for each word usage examples.
PS: This video meant no disrespect to anyone nor profession. Any similarities to any person is purely coincidental. This was created as a satirical piece of video art.
