The younger generations grew up only knowing the coalition governemnt, so it's only natural that their beliefs are going to differ and the opposition become much more appealing. Winning 4 elections under the same leader is proof that howard's coalition was a good government. But times change and the current labor party, and coalition in opposition need to find a level ground between generations.

I dont normally think this way, but if ever there was a fellow Australian I would want to see erased from history, it would be THIS horrible liar who divided a nation, put our young defence people in harms way, and told untruths to stay in power. When he says payroll tax, is he referring to tax-withheld i.e. PAYG, or is he referring to " tax that is paid from the employer's own funds and that is directly related to employing a worker, which can consist of a fixed charge or be proportionally linked to an employee's pay" (Wikipedia)?

Paul Keating was Australia's best Prime Minister. He laid the groundwork for the future of a very successful Australia. John Howard was the best politician this country has ever seen.
