  • hey does anybody remember darth vader being the guest on a friday night preview show for ABCs saturdaymorning kids show line up? it featured a glitter rock band and previewed the show "Wonder Bug"

  • Actually Darth made a couple Saturday Morning appearances. The 1st was CBS WACKO SATURDAY PREVIEW on Sept 8, 1977. It featured guests Soupy Sales & The Dwight Twilly Band, "Darth Vader", Carol Burnett, Jim Backus, Jonathan Harris, Gary Owens, Harry Nilsson, Loretta Swit, Marty Allen and cast from WACKO.

  • The 2nd was Sept 9, 1977 on the ABC ALL-STAR SATURDAY preview show. Hosted by Kaptain Kool & the Kongs and with guests Shaun Cassidy, Robert Hegyes, Meadowlark Lemon, Lennie Weinrib, the Krofftettes, Darth Vader, Parker Stevenson, Pamela Sue Martin. I wish I could find copies of these!

  • What is this FROM?

  • This was from an episode of the Midnight Special... a great music program in the 70s. The show show-cased many of the top bands of the time in live performances... not lip-synching... although a few bands did do it.

  • @WookieCookie Ah, the Midnight Special. You're right, there was very little lip-syncing. There would be nights when my parents would allow us to stay up late to watch this.

  • Jason75: actually there were three people who played darth vader and two voices if I'm not mistaken although it has been a while...
