but there are very few movies I've seen where I could honestly say, "this should not have been made."

just about EVERYTHING has some value. even if it's a shot-for-shot remake, something like the effects could be really good. or it could be laughably bad. take some of the worst movies ever made: The Room, Batman and Robin, Plan 9. are the good? HELL NO. but are they entertaining? oh, hell yes.

for me, the worst thing a movie can be is either:

A. boring

or

B. insulting

@drybones68 I was going to comment anyways.53 years ago at age 5 I was taken to see "The Blob".I was 5 & IF I knew what a horror film is,well a kid actually lives a movie I was so scared for weeks.Luckily there were lots of great Disney movies to see.Looking at this Blob I can see all the stupid fake effects but I'll never forget seeing that blob ooze through the heating system into the room.I was right there in my 5 year old head.
