  • Cessna 152 for sale. Recently Washed and Detailed.

  • Why does there always have to be a "hero"? The lifeguard barely even got his hair wet, but it's still a "hero story".

  • "Let's go surfin' now...everybody's learnin' how...". Doesn't appear to be any major structural damage.

  • "Who leads him to land" Yeah I bet the pilot was not aware of the location of land.

  • @dcs002

    1. Except in Mexico apparently, where they use tiny ultralights to tow banners all along the Riviera Maya, according to a friend I know there!

  • I feel that many heroes were made this day.

  • Huge ship in the backround 1:12

  • @AJDrac yeah but I like planes to but even if I didn't I'd still go out and help.

  • @yoyoyoyoshua Noticed that too, what an idiot. Guess he wanted all the credit somehow? Also, it was obvious the pilot wasn't seriously injured, so let the people go help pull that plane in before it gets further damaged in my opinion. I'd be out there pulling it back regardless of what the idiot said. Then again, I like planes.

  • so the pilot needs help and the life guard wants ppl who are trying to help out of the water. some life guard.

  • everyone out of the water! someone will rescue the pilot.... eventually.

  • 1. Last time I checked the regs on banner-towing they said you need a 150 hp engine minimum. This Cessna is too small for that.

    2. The pilot waded to shore on his own. The lifeguard didn't need to lead him anywhere.

    3. When ditching, you're supposed to go parallel to the waves.

    4. When ditching, you're also supposed to open the door before hitting the water. (It's in the Cessna checklist for ditching.)

    5. Theriomalstrom is right - there's no hero here.
