I read the Dev Blog which includes statements from both CCP and CSM. I encourage you to read it for yourself and watch the video of a conversation between CCP and CSM:

http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=935

Around 8:35 I start giving my opinion if you want to skip the statement. Of course, if you don't want to hear my opinion you can skip this video LMAO.

Of course, the forums are filled with people still complaining, which is very sad to see. Sucks to be accused of something you haven't done YET. If CCP eventually adds P2W items, then it is time for those people who don't like it to realize they are no longer CCPs target audience and leave. Simple as that.

Although it would be easier for them to add new skills that EVERYONE would have to start over with. That way new people could excel and be on par with veterans.

====

I don't mind spoilers but I politely ask that, if you want to post a spoiler, put ******SPOILER****** above it so people can skip it if they'd like. Thank you.

  • could have not said it better myself...

  • @mimashator Thank you!

  • I think the end rant of this is pretty funny considering Rule 2 of EVE is "Trust on one" xD

Incase you (or anyone) doesn't know already. If you dock in a station in your pod, and have no ships there, you get a free rookie ship. (re: the mention of POSSIBLY using "gold" incase you run out of isk and need a ship)

You CAN move characters from account to account but it costs some cash. Cant remember exactly how much. People sell characters for isk, real cash isnt allowed.

    Did i miss anything :)

  • @Renvexer That's good you can move characters. If people sell characters for ISK, can they rename them after the sale - during the transfer between accounts?

  • You can catch up with the old guard, skills have massively diminishing returns the more you get. (also social skills in gathering friends to your cause, will beat any amount of skillpoints - 100 battleships will beat 50 with good leadership :P)

You're not meaningless if you make the community better. Stuff like these videos are important, don't doubt an individual's effect! I haven't played a long time but I help newbies out every day in help chat. It's all about the community ^_^ Fly safe.

  • @emikochan13 Thank you! You are right about making friends. I understand now why being in a corporation can make the difference in a player's level of fun. Well, a corp that is a good fit for the both the corp and the player. I was thinking about joining EVE University. It might be a good way to learn and help others as I learn.

  • oh, btw i like your "LP" alot. This reminds me of my first days =)

  • one thing you should know (well, you might know it right now^^). The game evolved by players from the beginning. As a one-world sandboxgame it's all about the players, which define the daily business, make it "alive" on many ways and also (this is the important part) give feedback how it is to play the game. Even more, there where fleets of hundred of pilots on testserver Sisi, help to speed up heavy battles.

I can see your pov, but you might play it for a longer time so yknow why some are angry

  • @Dakarn also one of the reasons eve has a csm :P

  • lol... "beaten with an ugly stick" i love it :D

  • @Dakarn I love it when that happens.

  • You'll be having this monologue again in 6 months time. It's the nature of the EVE community.

Castor: RAGE! Exodus: RAGE! Exodus - Cold War: RAGE! Red Moon Rising: RAGE! Bloodlines: "Oh hey, this is coo.. RAGE!"

Well, you get the idea. There was only 1 other incident in EVE history that even equalled this level though. It involved a Dev cheating. It was solved with an in-game war. Look up The Great War of EVE Online. (rockpapershotgun article)

  • Reykjavik, Iceland. (Reck-a-vick)

  • @Renvexer You are entirely correct.
