@upt123 Dr. Greggs and Cleophas Johnson (MoBrn) were real good friends. They were running buddies and hung-out whenever SU came to Atlanta.

wow

@bluestarkad17 The Michigan way??? These are clearly SU's arrangements..... Michigan doesn't play these things....... So how is it the Michigan way?
-
@much2cute4u Really ... really ... so biased, wow. Maybe reading my commentary will help you with reality.

@cbwonderjr I totally agree.

... and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. As Dr. Greggs said "often imitated but never duplicated." For the record if you truly know history its understood most of what any band does can be linked to U of M, Notre Dame, or Ohio State. However, what's on this video is clearly Southern's style (no copyright needed). Respect history as a whole not just the part you like. This and many other examples are a testament to the legacy of "The Human Jukebox" and it's greatest leader, Doc.

Come on, are you all serious! Give credit where it's due. These are SU signature drills and songs. Dr. Moffit (Univ. of Houston, Michigan State, Purdue) did create P-I-M but bands doing interchangeable squad movements date back to Dr. Revelli at Univ. Mich. As for HBCU's Dr. Greggs (SU) is also legendary (i.e, the Halftime Score Drill) and ironically he credits Edwin Hampton of St. Augustine with being his influence dating back to the 1960's. Keep in mind Ellis and Greggs were friends.
