90% of the people with such a big tv aren't viewing it from an appropriate distance. To use a 5 foot screen, you need a pretty big living room. You should probably be at least 15ft away from it. I know there are guides that say closer, but in my experience they are wrong.

@aquadias i heard you just need to reduce the resolution to 320x240 for the videos otherwise you'll have a gap between sound and image :)

Not long enough. You'll probably need an extension cable.
