@ultraback29 That all changes October 1st, 2010. United will be the dominant carrier at Newark.

In a nutshell, United no longer does international flights from New York.
Among US-based carriers, only American, Delta, and Continental (Newark) provide intercontinental flights from the nation's largest urban area.

you can still get to JFK from LHR with UA :)
