A Valiant effort to retain his crown in 1988...unfortunately, he lost it to Cro Cro. However, his performance was OUTSTANDING...

So d treasury broke an dey say dat recession jammin',
So to foreign countries trinis start migrating
dey lose faith in d country dey say we gone down d drain,
Dey say no more, could we see happy times again.
But d will to recover in my people I have confidence,
although many may seem to feel dat I talkin nonsense,
but d majority of us decide we not going to run
cuz now is d time to show we patriotism...

Our country facing its darkest hour
and our people need us today more than ever
but in our fight to recover,
if u ever feel to surrender,
It have one little thing dat I want you always remember
We could make it if we try just a little harder
If we just give one more try, life could be much sweeter
From d time dat we analyzed just what was d problem,
Then we made very positive moves to solve dem
We fire d ole setta managers we had wukkin,
an ah new group we went an bring in.
And if d goods we require dem new managers not supplying
den election time come back round is new ones we bringin
boy if is one thing about my people I can guarantee,
dat we would never ever put party before country...

When d treasury was full and happy times town was enjoying,
It in Morvant and Laventille poor people was living
Now d treasury broke and d country now back to square one,
Poor people remain in d same ole ghetto in John John
But to put we economy today again on some footing,
Is d same poor people 10 days an COLA dey takin
And with d social unrest poor people payin d price
Because we know for d country nothing's too much to sacrifice....
Anytime we hear Trinbago facing ah crisis,
as loyal citizens is our duty to stay and assist
for we know to we self there could never become a day
when our debt to dis country we can repay
So who want to go could go I have to objection
but while outside I want you to have some consideration
That your country of birth facing its worst day in history
And we must do what we can regardless where we may be...
