Rinse - Merope Gaunt/Tom Riddle Sr.

Alright! I've been planning this one for years, I'm so glad I finally got to do it!

This basically just details Merope Gaunt's life and her love of Tom. I thought the song was perfect and I HAD to do it! I hope you guys like it!

Basic Plot:
Merope has always been hopelessly in love with Tom Riddle, but he has never noticed her. He is also dating a snotty woman. She thinks about him all the time...she can't stop! Eventually Morfin and her disgusting father Marvolo notice it. If she could get Tom to love her, she could get away from them...She then sees Tom with yet another woman! He catches her watching them and she takes off. Later she reads about a love potion, but decides that she couldn't possibly do it. She isn't skilled enough and still, she would hate doing that to someone. She considers running away, but realizes that would mean leaving Tom. Soon her brother and father and taken to prison. Her life is much better, of course, but she is overcome with loneliness. This in conjuction with her love of Tom and her newfound boldness after her family had left results in her decision to make the love potion. She askes Tom if he is thristy, he nodds yes, and the next thing she knows he askes her to marry him! They are happy together and she gets pregent, but she can't keep using the love potion. She is too guilty, and doesn't give it to him. He immediately flees the house and she, incapable of living in a home full of such awful memories, leaves as well.

I definitely would have used an uglier actress for Merope if I could have thought of a movie that had that as well as enough clips of a Tom Riddle ish boy. You are all right, Kiera is far too pretty. But she is through the most of the movie kind of dirty or wet from rain. XD I thought Pride and Prejudice would be the best choice for it because it had enough clips I could fit to the plot. :)

This is brilliant: you really displayed Merope's love for Tom brilliantly, it really looked as if she was wildly in love with him. I actually feel pretty sorry for Merope now.

its a big shame the gaunt memory sequence has been cut from the HBP film, it would be so cool, plus the film would make more sense with it. Im stil hping theyll include it in death hallows somewhere, maybe as a pre titles sequence XD

I think so too! That's a great idea, it's such an important and interesting story, they really should work in somewhere.

I agree, Merope's story is amazingly tragic, and also essential for understanding Voldemort. I've always though his hatred of Muggles has deep roots in his anger over what his father did to his mother (and him). That's why I was upset that they left it out of the HBP film. This is a great video though, you made it all work perfectly! And so what is Keira is too pretty, the actors are always too pretty for the parts they play! Look at Sirius and Bella, who are supposed to have lost their looks!

I love this video! The clips, the story, the orchestration of it all was beautiful! Wonderful job and wonderful casting. (I always thought Merope was a beautiful girl, just under a horrible family's thumb and living in poverty or abuse and Tom Riddle would look exactly like that!)

Right I agree that she's too pretty- and I was hoping for some form of confrontation and not just him riding away but still good editing, you matched the music to the scenes and the scenes to the lyrics. I loved 1.50.
