I used to watch this one as well, another good show! Although, Father Dowling was my favorite to watch. Tom Bosley will always be Father Dowling, even in Heaven. =)

**update** i think it might not have been an actual episode at all, but a pre-series tv movie from 1993 starring dick van dyke and suzanne pleshette called "a twist of the knife." apparently, this movie led to the creation of the tv show...had the same "dean hargrove productions" logo at the end of the credits. again, the music was different than that of the show's end credits (it was really cool).
