since your a drummer you can probably make out the subtle hi hats at the beginning.

it's kinda hard for a drummer to do if the song starts off with guitars...

all of the prerecorded sounds in a live concert ..are kept up with a metronome that the drumer hears through an ear piece. you only have to press play once and that is only at the begining of the song... only the drummer can hear it so it is his responsibility to keep up with the timing.
