Impressions from India - Rat Temple

In the Karni Mata Temple in the village of Deshnok, near Bikaner in Rajasthan (India), hundreds of small rats run around rampant, eating and drinking the sweets and milk provided by pilgrims in their honour.
The rats are considered holy because they are believed to be reincarnations of storytellers who wait in the temple as another life form between successive reincarnations as humans.
I shot this footage with a Canon XH A1 in HDV 1080i/25F.
