Shirley Sherrod: the FULL video

The video of Shirley Sherrod released by Andrew Brietbart's Big Government Blog on July 19 didn't tell the full story. It was selectively edited to cast her in a negative light. Here is the video, shot by the local NAACP unit that hosted Ms. Sherrod. Watch the video, and judge for yourself.

This video was broadcast in March 2010 on DCTV in DeKalb county, Georgia. The speech has not been edited. There is a cut around 21:00 where the filmmaker changed tapes.

If you have not walked in her shoes, you don't know how if feels to walk in her shoes. Be quick to listen and slow to judge. Slow to criticize and quick to learn from what she has to say. She speaks of the experience of her family and speak on what many Black people from that time are still afraid to speak about.

White guy speaking: This is a woman who learned from experience. Originally she learned to be racist because white farmers killed her father. But she then learned that it was wrong and that it is an issue of the rich against the poor. I'd vote for this woman to be President or vice President next to Ron Paul. (I'd love to see that.) I saw the edit @ 20:59. Whatever it was, it wasn't anything like what Briebart did. It could have been a battery replacement. Doubt it was a hack job.

As a white woman, after watching this video in its entirety, I must conclude that Shirley Sherrod is probably one of the most genuine and level headed people that walk this Earth. I do not see any wicked racism in her speech - quite to the contrary.

If anything, it is Andrew Breitbart who is a proof that HATE BLINDS and absolute hate blinds absolutely. Sad.

Mrs. Sherrod, God bless you. You are an example of when the devil does somethings for bad the good lord turns it into good. I think the white house played politics in your situation, with the intention of apologizing to you & offering you your job back in the first place. Very smart politicians. I just do not believe that they never took the time to view the whole video prior to requesting your resignation. I wish they could have let you in on it prior. You are a true leader indeed.
