  • ah yes thats what i was told by myself when i really thought about my problems but i seem to forget all of it when i start playing. yeah i imagine myself playing perfectly all the time but somehow my thoughts get cut off sometimes and i get messed up after that its just some sorta weird stuff i cant explain

  • hmmm, I think the biggest problem is in your head, (not to sound critical or anything) but you need confidence to play well. I remember I used to listen to recordings and listen to each note, and think of how it come improve, evenually I could hear a perfect version in my head, so i was excited to practise and play to get that perfect version. So my suggestion to you is. Why not practise a little in you mind? Imagine yourself playing the piece perfectly, what would that sound like?

  • well how am i supposed to even achieve that then? no i find them perfectly alright its just something with my arms and fingers. they're not working well and im pretty disoriented these few months. well i dont fancy all of them and i think that if i play anything that i dont like i probably wont enjoy it at all and i wouldnt be learning anything at all. and i'd probably make it sound horrible too

  • Well, something I learned is, if you can even do something well once, you can learn to do it all the time. And fugue's can be brutally tough, if you're not good at fugues why not try another style? like chopin or debussy or rachmaninoff?

  • and the reason y im really impatient now is because seeing the way my country works, anybody who succeeds after their teenage yrs wont be really recognized and that wouldnt gurantee u a really successful career.

  • no i love music and even though i get real pissed off and mad with my horrible playing one moment, the nxt, when im not near it i long to play on it. i just cant seem to meet my standards which arent high at all but u would be very angry with urself if u still cant play a piece without missing and messing up after half a yr. something like the fugue im playing now.

  • Wow, sounds like you really got bummed out about your playing. How come? Is it a waste of your life if you can just sit down and play something you enjoy? I actually would say you're not as awful as you say you are, everyone has problems. So what if you're not a prodigy. I wasn't either! Everything comes with lots of hard work, but the good thing is that builds your character to work hard in other things as well. :)

  • no i dont. i used to but i stopped doing that ever since i realised i was getting nowhere with that and im always discovering new pieces that im interested in everyday. well messing up sequencing of notes, being unable to maintain a proper tempo, finding everything hard. all that after 10 yrs. what a waste of my life and effort im beginning to think that i'm just wasting my time and i've wasted my life doing it
