Hired by a textile mill, some new graveyard shift workers are to rid the plant's underground floors of rats. But what lurks in the tunnels isn't just any rat's nest -- there's one giant, man-eating rodent waiting for his midnight snack. Adapted from one of Stephen King's Night Shift tales, this creepy offering from director Ralph S. Singleton delivers the willies.
everything from 4:40 to around 5:24 feels like The X-Files.

I did not like the part where he drops the rat in the shredding machine, this sort of thing could encourage cruelty,I do like this film though, really good & scary.

I don't think I am on the same page as some of the people commenting here;...oh freaking well;..anyway that's a hell of an opener though. Those rats were watching that dude like vultures; they knew he would be fresh meat soon! A stand up way to start a horror story.; but the best scene is yet to come. It reminds me that I had a graveyard job in a printing press once; and although I never saw any rats and thankfully know giant Bats; the machine itself creeped me out with those same metal teeth
