  • They're actually GE90-94B's, my grandpa used to work with engines.

  • @KCBOYZ1307 Hmmmm... Interesting. My understanding was that earlier BA 777 aircraft (GVIIA-GVIIO) are equipped with GE90-85b engines while later "GVII" aircraft use the GE90-90 series. If you look at the entry on the Air Accidents Investigation Branch website for G-VIIA you will see it listed with GE90-85B engines. I would have thought G-VIIB would have similar engines to G-VIIA!

  • cool comme genre d'avion

  • I ♥ B777!!!

  • i don't feel the air quality onboard aircraft is very good. my throat always feels very dry. im also pissed some airprots wont let you take ur own food through security in plastic tubs and force you to rely on crap food that airports sell to take onboard after security. they dont feed you enough onboard for flight duration. i think its disgusting not lettign people take food through security. people like that do not deserve ur bussiness. dont give them the satisfaction of fucking u

  • @2pb Oh your right my mistake! :)

  • @kingflyer223 Well according to the Wikipedia entry for British Airways "The General Electric GE90 powers 27 of the 777-200/200ERs and all of the Boeing 777-300ERs"

If you don't believe Wikipedia - Search on the BA website for "GE90" you will see that in August 1991 the airline ordered 15 Boeing 777 aircraft powered by General Electric GE90 engines with an option on 15 more" . Based on this BA has at least 15 GE powered 777-200 aircraft as the 777-300 did not exist in 1991 :)

  • @2pb So your telling me that BA B777-200ER uses GE-90 engines when basically most of ther engines are RR the only GE-90 are the 115-b on the 300ER Model

  • @kingflyer223 Aircraft G-VIIA and G-VIIB definitely use GE-90 engines - no mistaking the "whiny" sound and the big GE-90 logo on the side :)

Now BA do fly the odd RR equipped 777 to Barbados on some days - I've flown on G-YMMF before - featured on one of my other videos.

  • @2pb its actually TRENT 800

  • @2pb It could be BA's choice on engines... They might have put the -85's on their older T7-200's, and but the newer -94's on their new ones. Continental uses -94's, that's who my Grandpa works for. I think the -94's are just a higher thrust rating and have swept fanblades compared to the -85's.
