I wrote this after R & The Jets in 1975. Put together a new band in 1980 called Con Safos and recorded this titled "C/S" in 1983 for the LP Los Angelinos: The Eastside Renaissance that i produced for a label (Zyanya) that i co-founded with Richard Foos president of Rhino Records. The LP was a compilation of Chicano bands mostly from East L.A. from the early 80s including: The Brat, The Plugz, Mestizo, Odd Squad, Thee Royal Gents, Felix & the Katz, Califas, Los Perros del Pueblo and Con Safos.

There is an upload titled "Ruben Guevara & John Densmore" doing a song called "Si Es" which is basicly an acoustic version of this.
The dsecription: Ruben Guevara ( Ruben & the Jets) and John Densmore (The Doors) perform at the Grand re-opening of Tia Chucha's Cafe & Cultural Center in Sylmar, Ca.
Check it out.
There is some confusion here. The second Ruben & The Jets album released in 1973 was titled 'Con Safos".
In 1983, the second band i put together was also called Con Safos. We recorded this track titled "C/S", on a compilation album with mid 1980s bands from East L.A.., titled "Los Angelinos: The Eastside Renaissance " released on on Zyanya/Rhino Records1983.
