Some like it hot, I prefer the absolute hottest. This is my 2 year old Naga Jolokia plant that up until a few weeks ago, had only yielded 3 peppers in the Spring, and one random one in August. There are several dozen on there, I'm going to wait for them to turn bright red to start counting.

UPDATE: Harvest to date: 76 gorgeous Bhut Jolokia's as of this point, many more still in the ripening process on the plant, many that have yet to ripen are the largest I've seen/grown to date. I also harvested over 500 of my hybrids as well, the second harvest of the year putting me in excess of 1000 peppers off of a single plant.

  • What is it a hybrid between?

  • @Cataclysm31 My hybrid started out in 2006 as cross between pequin and cayenne, over the years I've stabilized the genetics so it is pretty much a new pepper at this point. I get 1200+ peppers per year per plant and they're just about or slightly below habaneros on the heat scale. They can withstand freezes as well as the several weeks of 105-110 we've been having this year, very hardy.

  • One of the best looking Bhut Jolokia plants i've seen on here...I'd love to purchase some of the seeds from that plant (or maybe exchange for any of the seeds from my plants: Red savina, Scotch Bonnet, Carribean habs, Tazmanian, Numex Centennial or Twilights). Please let me know. And congrats on all ur success!!

  • @jsmed07 Send me a message for seeds

  • @icebarker77 Cool , thank you. :D

  • @SKRIBZ4EVER you can put them inside for the winter, next year your harvest will be much more

  • I like these peppers. I got a question. I have a plant of Bhut's that I'm growing, and harvesting season is coming up. After I harvest, does the plant die or can you harvest and save for next year for more pods? If anyone knows this, please answer, as I'm very novice at growing and I would like to grow more. :)

  • @wankelcrazy Very nice peppers!!! What is the best way to keep them fresh longer?

  • Hey i think there's something in your eye, try to get it out. Yup, right there. You got it

  • @wankelcrazy

Sounds like a good cross. :)

Good on your for stabilizing it, so many people don't bother and it's really annoying.

  • @565guam You can get seeds directly from me, I have bhut jolokia, naga morich, and trinidad scorpion seeds in stock.
