The best part? The officer who killed him simply got fired.
I ask you this: If the police raid the wrong home and you shoot them through the door as they're kicking it in, what do you think will happen to you (If you survive at all, which is unlikely)? You wont just get fired from your job, I can tell you that much right fucking now.
Again, they need to be held more accountable for their actions than a normal citizen, not less. They are supposedly trained and given far more power.

An 18 year old unarmed friend of mine, Peyton Strickland, was killed by a police officer. He was shot in the head with a submachine gun through his unlocked front door as he tried to answer it for the police. All of this was over a Playstation and no evidence has ever been presented to demonstrate his guilt.

What's the current status of this boy. Any lawsute in progress already? Has the boy become millionaire already? Has the case been dismissed?

AnonNed, I'm not sure of the exact status of the lawsuit but AFAIK it is progressing as you'd expect a lawsuit like this to progress i.e. slowly, especially where the cult of scientology is involved. It could be a while before it sees a court.
The only thing that would hasten it is if the accused parties miraculously agreed to settle for some lesser , but still substantial, amount rather than go to court and get pwnd. Note that gag orders on the victim are usually a condition of settlements.
