We live in Ireland , and thus, we are speaking in English as we are addressing the Irish public. English is the most widely spoken language in the world. Nothing wrong with having more than one language in your possession ... Its a way to communicate with the rest of the world. We are proud of our arabic language and we can speak both Hamdallah.

He doesnt want to rule Libya. We don't want Gadaffi anymore he is killing everyone. @ da7amony, if your family were forced to leave their home country and live in an english speaking country what would their first language be? Libya will never be a tool for imperialism, so please refrain from posting harsh,irrelevant comments. Burn in hell is a bit harsh, seeing as we are trying to feed starving families, but um whatever floats yer boat.
i dont understand how come he want to rule libya when his speech waz in english shame on him and any one who would follow him he is a disgrace to any free human who understand the real meaning of freedom and was up with girls acting so and speaking in english is libya a new english empire now i really feel sorry for each one you and hope u all burn in hell

@da7amony
1) he does not want to rule libya, he is representative of TNC in the Uk and is just another activist like the millions of libyans inside and outside libya voicing the truth.
2) He is addressing a non-arabic speaking audience, and it's just courtesy and manners to speak in a language that is collective to all. But of course, I suppose you wouldn't know much about manners.

Maybe before you try to talk about others, you should ask yourself why Gaddafi's spokesperson, Moussa Ibrahim from WITHINSIDE Libya always speaks in english and not arabic, surely he has no excuse.
