The forward throw is actually great for setting up an infinite combo against most characters. If you throw them forward, then use your running attack, then catch them with a grab, throw forward, and repeat, you can rack up damage and get them to the edge

How do shine, wavedash, shine?
-
FYI Overswarm, what you exhibited in the video wasn't Pillaring lol. Pillaring is when you Shine to Dair combo an opponent's shield, eating it away, meaning no damage is caused.
What you showed was a common Falco combo =)

Awesome guide.
Can someone give me some advice on short-hopping out of shine?
Duncmasta 2 years ago
There is not much to say than... practice!. I use the Y button to perform those kind of tricks.
Other advice, note that the short hop depends on how much time you maintain the button pressed, not the pressure, so the key of short hop is just speed on your fingers. When you completely master SH ( Means doing 50 SH in a row) SH out of shine is too easy.

Another tip for you DUncmasta, don't SH(shorthop) with Fox, he is the hardest for me to SH with. INSANELY hard, maybe I'm just not that technical. XD

Well, yap, Fox is the hardest character to SHop because the frames of the jump animation: To perform a shorthop, you should release the jump button after the jump animation ends. Fox animation is the shortest animation in the game, so thats because its the hardest. Don't remember exactly frame data but is hard. BTW, SH on Falco is pretty easier (Not the easiest character to SH, dunno exactly, i guess the easier will be bowser or maybe ganon)
