The survivor is so incredibly lucky that an AED was nearby.
With a survival rate of less than 5% for sudden cardiac arrest victims, it's crucial that AED placement be taken both seriously and aggressively. Oftentimes an AED is not within reach, something that is simply unacceptable when literally minutes determine life or death.
I invite communities looking to outfit themselves with AEDs are invited to visit AEDs Today. We specialize in increasing AED awareness.

Thanks... we still live with that day.. and yes, please everyone urge your company decision-maker to install an AED. It takes no skill, and presents no liability. The worst thing to do is nothing. We learned the hard way and were lucky..

it's a great PSA. Ckear and concise.
Thinking about this again makes me cry again.

Wow. That's an excellent PSA. I still get choked up when I think about that day, and when I see this. I hope that AEDs become completely commonplace in all offices and public places.
Thank you, everyone, for sharing your story.
I was reading how a death is the catalyst for people to start thinking about AEDs. With your help we can get the message out before it is too late.
Please forward this video to anyone you think would be motivated to act based on Dan + Laura's experience.
