Just for those thinking this guy is doing this incorrectly, this is Yeon Hwan Park, one of the founders of the WTF! He is executing these forms perfectly. The front snap kicks are exactly as they should be. His whole series is executed quite perfectly. Your school may teach them differently, and the techniques differently, however, this is how the forms are originally (or traditionally) performed to perfection.

We will have to agree to disagree.

This guy is aiming the head and front-filmed, so the kick appears to be pushing: it's impossible to "kick-in" the head, the foot has to "kick-up". Your master cannot teach the beginners to kick heads, so he teach to kick stomach.

I concur. The overall series of videos serves well as a demonstration of the Poomse; the kicks ouoght to be a snap-kick in, but otherwise I recommend the entire series.

l love how everyone judges every one of the videos in this series when he is doing them all to exact WTF standards if you were taught different your either doing ITF or you were taught wrong or are doing it wrong so watch learn and do it right!

ppl still are in the 'real' martial arts, a belt means which qualities and knowledge you have to pass a certain exam to let you access new forms of martial skills become better in defending yourself, thats the reason you do it don't ya? I do it because to protect myself from all sorts of shady characters who want to rape me :( or kidnap me for money, i could kill them if I want. (I fight mean if I need to do it XD)

I dont know about you guys but i think that martial arts isint martial arts anymore.Every ppl only think about ther belt classes.were did real skill go to? Ppl's logics is not the same as it was 500 years ago.
These kicks appear not to be front-kicks; front-kicks do not kick up, they kick in.

front kicks are kicks to the front of the body, what you are referring to is the pushing motion you would perform if you were kicking someone and pushing with your foot. He is kicking free air and thus it is correct as well.
